Practices makes perfect

Structured practice, measurable performance

DrillRoom is designed for pocket billiards players who want to improve through consistent, measurable practice, particularly 8 ball,9 ball and 10 ball players. By providing tools to record and analyze every shot, DrillRoom helps you establish a performance baseline and track progress over time.

The app combines AI-powered computer vision and real-time tracking to detect ball motion, pocketing events, and outcomes. This data fuels personalized insights, probability analysis, and training recommendations that help players train smarter.

DrillRoom includes over 80 built-in drills across multiple skill categories: speed control, shot-making, cue direction, and positional play. While many advanced drills require an active subscription, several are free so new users can test the app on their own table and verify detection accuracy.

Like a glove

Custom Drill Creation & Live Table Capture

Take control of your training with the Drill Editor, which allows you to create fully customizable practice scenarios. Design your own shot diagrams by dragging and dropping balls into position, drawing shot paths, defining valid pockets, setting cue ball end regions, and establishing drill rules such as required success criteria or autofill modes for progressive layouts.

Use Live Capture to instantly transform real-life table situations into practice drills. Snap a photo of your current game layout and convert it into a drill that can be practiced repeatedly. This is ideal for recreating difficult or tactical scenarios from matches.

Choose from predefined categories like Shotmaking, Speed Control, Cue Direction, Safety, or Custom to organize your drills and benefit from built-in rules for each type. Share your creations with the community or keep them private for your own training regimen.

In God we trust, everyone else bring data

Game Analysis, Personalized Insights & Recommendations

Once a drill is completed, access a comprehensive Game Analysis report—available to subscribers. Dive into per-attempt stats, success rates, performance trends, and diagrams of cue ball and object ball paths. Analyze what worked, what didn’t, and how to adjust your approach.

The Stats view shows your performance broken down by category (e.g. Shotmaking or Speed Control), while Insights reveal deeper shot-level patterns by examining shot outcome probabilities based on ball positioning and cue ball control.

Interactive heatmaps display accuracy by cue ball or object ball positions. The table is divided into grid regions, each showing your success rate—highlighting where you're strong and where you need more reps.

Sharing is caring

Join the Community

Drills can be shared. Either privately, with a link, or a QR code, or with the community. The DrillRoom Community is where players can check out what drills are other players using to train, and even mark them as favorites. Community drills may be browsed by most recent, most played, or most favorited. Check it out to find new challenges and inspiration.

Community drills are also tag-searchable, making it easy to discover drills tailored to your skill level or training goals. Compete, collaborate, and grow with other cue sports enthusiasts.
